How It Works
​

​Exhibitors are encouraged to bring a

standout example of their best repair or restoration work

to proudly display on their stall throughout the day.

​

This could be:​

​

- The physical item itself (if practical),

​

- A detailed before-and-after photo display, or

​

- A combination of both, alongside a brief description.

​

​​Whether it's a vintage restoration, complex rebuild, or a creative transformation, this is your time to shine.

Voting Process
​
​Throughout the event, all attendees will be invited to view the entries and vote for the piece that impresses them most. Voters are encouraged to consider:

Craftsmanship and technique

​

Creativity and difficulty

​

Visual transformation and presentation​​

 

Voting is open to all visitors and fellow professionals, helping create a fair, community-driven decision.

Announcement of Winners​

Votes will be counted towards the end of the day, and the Master Repairer 2025 Champion will be announced during the closing ceremony. Don’t miss your moment, it’s a highlight of the event.

We understand some jobs can’t be transported.

High-quality before-and-after photos with a brief description

of the process are equally valid and strongly encouraged.

SHINE OFF

The Shine-Off

Who Will Reflect Greatness?

​

Do you have what it takes to deliver the ultimate mirror shine under pressure?

Join the Shine-Off,

 a live head-to-head challenge designed to put your polishing skills to the test.

​

What to Expect:

​

  • Each contestant will receive a pair of un-shined men’s dress shoes (provided by an SoMR supplier member) along with polish of your choosing from an approved SoMR product partner.

  • Bring your own tools of the trade: shine cloths, rags, and even your own water dispenser if you prefer.

  • 20 minutes on the clock. One shoe. Maximum impact.

  • You’ll be judged on shine quality, technique, and overall finish.

Shine-Off Champion


Only one can walk away with the title. The winning shiner will take pride of place as the 2025 Shine-Off Champion, earning recognition across the industry and in the pages of Cutting Edge Magazine.
